Hunter Key Biscayne Indoor Outdoor Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit, Pull Chain Control - Perfect for Living Room, Bedroom, Patio and Covered Porch

Put up on back patio works great light is bright enough and fan power is amazing.Purchased the fan based on research for a “wet” rated ceiling fan and wanted 5000+ CFM. This fan was SUPPOSED to be both of those (per Amazon and the Hunter website) but we get the boxes in and fans hung up (Back patio + Florida = wet and humid and hot) to find they are only “damp” rated and 3500 CFM. Slightly frustrated to spend this much and research (and cross research) for them to not be what I was wanting. Are they beautiful, yes. We’re they easy to hang, yes. Do they move more air than my 8 year old tiny ceiling fans, yes.My husband and I needed a new outdoor fan for our screened-in patio as the motor on the old one (which was also the Hunter brand, but 10 years old) was going out and the high setting was slow, like could not feel a breeze at all and we live in the south! This one is perfect! The high setting is fast and has minimal noise... very easy to fall asleep on our outdoor sectional with this fan above us and the updated look of the light fixture part is nice too!Got this on sale on prime day and it is an outstanding value. Beautiful, well built fan that pushes air. We have it on our outdoor patio and you can feel the air around you.The light is nice too. We wanted pull chains because we lose remotes all the time.It was fairly easy to install but I did need to refer to another Amazon reviewer’s pictures to determine the correct orientation for the fan blades. The manual is pretty good except for that part. His review is easy to find on here.Great fan, we wish we’d bought more when they were on sale.This fan does not have a remote. It looks very nice outside and works as expected thus far. When installing it my husband commented that it was obviously a “cheap” fan.Great fan with quality parts. Install went well on our back patio and had no trouble with getting the blades right the first time. Look at the picture for the blades closely. It seems that would go the other way, but the picture is correct. Very quite on high and produces strong air flow. Very happy with the purchase and a great add to our patio.Quality materials with a good design. Fairly easy to install, installed 2 fans in about 3 hours. Would have gone quicker if I could have got my son to help :) I liked best that I did not have to do any work to get the fan balanced. Install both, no wobble! I would recommend Hunter.I read the reviews, and was concerned about the issues. However, I think the problem is with a single diagram in the instructions as shown in my picture. As others have said, get it right and everything will go smoothly!If you figure out how to get the brackets correct, you’ll have no issues. The instructions are perfect except for this one diagram that I show.These look great, and have great balance out of the box.Time will tell if the salt air from the Potomac will affect these fans, but for now we’re enjoying them. Decent air flow with quiet operation.We have had this fan up in our covered porch for almost a month. We are very happy with it. We were able to connect the preivous fan's remote receiver (also a Hunter) to it and it works perfectly.My husband observed that this does not come with a safety chain (inside the housing to prevent it from falling on someone if something ever goes wrong), so he rigged something up.The only design flaw I see, is that the switch to change directions of the fan baldes is inside the light housing...meaning you have to remove the entire glass and cage surrounding the light bulbs to do so. Not great in multi-seasonal areas.Otherwise, no complaints to date.Bought this fan to install above the stairs in our home. It's a nice looking fan and fairly easy to install. It's been a while since I've installed a fan and was surprised that there was no "safety wire". Maybe these wires are a thing of the past. I found the hardware (small bolts) were a little on the short side. I installed the unit using two Westinghouse wireless remotes so that I could still control the fan and light from either the top or bottom of the stairs. The receiver fit tightly under the fan canopy. (in other words was able to emulate a 3-way switch system). The fan is quiet and a nice addition to our farm style home. Overall quite satisfied.No remote and the website mentioned on the outside of the box doesn't let you fully register the App that it has you install. As far as we can tell, there is no way to get a remote to work with this fan and the tech support won't answer our questions so I am NOT impressed. Looks great but it ends there. Would shop around more next time.I really don't like ceiling fans, but needed one in a new build and this one looks great! Love the choice of two different blade colors and that it doesn't come with those 3 old school lights sticking out. Had an electrician install so don't know how easy it is but it looks nice up!We purchased this item through Amazon.ca and found out from our electrician when he was going to install it that it’s not CSA approved. Don’t buy it if you live in Canada!
